Mary "Elaine" Schamaun

Mary “Elaine” Schamaun, age 86, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. She is survived by her children; Richard Schamaun, and wife Wendy, of Rio Rancho, NM; and Diane Robinson, and husband Allen, of Saginaw TX., grandchildren; Leanne Lehnardt and husband Thomas, Chad Robinson and wife Rashell, Andrew Schamaun and wife Nicole, Jenn Duthie and husband Dace, and Tiffany Strong and husband Morgan and eleven great grandchildren. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Thomas Schamaun. 

Being with her family was where her heart was most. Elaine was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served for several years as a temple worker at the Albuquerque, New Mexico Temple. Elaine loved to garden. She enjoyed doing many types of crafts. One of those, was learning to China paint from her mother in-law. 

Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
