Mary L. Sandoval

Mary L. Sandoval was born on September 12, 1921. She was the third of four children born to Juanita and Pablo Lomeli. Mary was the last remaining of the four siblings when she passed away on May 30, 2016.
Mary was born and raised in Flagstaff, AZ. In 1945 she married Tony Sandoval and the two began their family, having three children, Tony Junior, Viola and John. While residing in Flagstaff, Mary took great pride in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, where many of the important events in her life took place. She spent many hours volunteering for the church.
Mary was an avid reader, interested in biographies and always had a good fiction novel in her hands. She was a beautiful knitter and spent her free time crocheting.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved oldest son, Tony and her husband, Tony Senior.
Mary is survived by two children, John Sandoval and Viola Vásquez; four grandchildren, Jason Vásquez, Amber Vásquez Thomas, Jake Sandoval and Josh Sandoval; and two great-grandchildren, June Mary Vásquez and Grayson Henry Thomas.
Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 10, 2016, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, 224 S. Kendrick St., Flagstaff.
