Mary G. (Zamora) Rue

Mary Rue, age 79, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 29, 2017. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Rue; her father, Delfin Zamora; her mother, Leonor Ramirez; her brothers, Jimmy Zamora and Del Zamora.

Mary was born on August 17, 1938 in Roswell, NM. Mary worked for the City of Albuquerque and the credit bureau. She worked alongside her husband and co-owned Rue’s Plumbing and Heating. She was a member of the Moose Lodge where she held the office of Senior Regent along with many other offices throughout the years.

Mary loved to travel throughout the world. She was a very generous and giving person. Her beauty, elegance and poise were admired by many. Mary is survived by her children, Frank Rue (Liz), Leonard Rue (Valerie), Deborah McCullough (Rick), and Phillip Rue (Dinah). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jessica Rue, Jena Rue (Bettina), Joseph Rue, Raelynn Vigil (Isaiah), Jordyn Rue, Jacqueline Rue (Nathan) and Alexis Rue; her great-grandchildren, Noah and Isaac Ellenburg; her brother, William Zamora (Jean); and her sister, Betty Voss.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 starting at 9:00 a.m., the Rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m., with the Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church, 5145 Fortuna Rd NW.
