MARY SUE PARDUE, age 94, a resident of Albuquerque since 1942 passed away Friday morning June 22, 2012. Born in Pampa, Texas, Sue was the third of five children born to Jack and Mabel Killebrew. She is survived by her two children Kenneth Pardue, Kathleen Pardue-Buller and son in law Daniel Buller. Sue is also survived by Granddaughter Shannon Susanne Herman and husband Jason and the two greatest of granddaughters; Audrey Herman 6, and Olivia Herman, 3. She leaves one older sister, Cleta Williams of California, and many loving nieces, nephews and life time friends. Sue was a member of the Church of Christ throughout her life and raised her family to glorify and worship our Lord Jesus Christ. Sue married Dennis F. Pardue on October 13, 1940. Dennis, a member of the United States Cavalry and eventually the US Air Force traveled and lived throughout the United States. Together for 53 years until his passing, Sue and Dennis lived in seven countries during Dennis' 32 year military career. The world unveiled itself as they traveled to and moved with the military to California, New York, Louisiana, Florida, Texas, New Mexico, England, Ireland, Germany, France, Belgium, Alaska and many other places. During their stay in England they proudly adopted their two stinkin' Irishmen from Dublin, Ireland. Returning to Albuquerque in 1951 they continued to work but never lost their joy for travel; fishing, boating, exploring, and camping as the traveled throughout the United States. They especially enjoyed the lakes, streams and oceans with their two children and their many friends and relatives. Both high energy and feisty they were involved in supporting children's homes, summer camps and giving others opportunity. Sue was a story teller and had a memory for detail. She could entertain a crowd with her tales of life throughout her entire life; entertaining her caregivers right up to her last days. Sue enjoyed bridge, sewing, decorating, upholstering and had an uncanny ability to make something beautiful out of very little. Among her favorite stories were the tales of her 53 years of life with her love, Dennis. The family thanks Advantage Hospice care for their love, support, and loyalty provided to her in her final days. We also thank the many who brought gifts of love, friendship, music, prayer, food and flowers.
