OSBORN, MARY L.
Age 91, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, January 26, 2013. She is survived by her son, Larry A.Osborn, M.D., and his wife, Paula Dorris-Osborn, of Albuquerque, NM, granddaughters, Rachael Osborn (Gordon Moran) and Rebecca Osborn (James Christopoulos). Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth D. Osborn Jr., parents, Andrew and Ethel Lawrence, sisters, Margaret, Helen and Ann, and brothers, Joseph and Andrew. During WWII, Mary served in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps, during which time she met her future husband. On their first date they saw the movie Casablanca and their song was "As Time Goes By". Mary was a very talented artist, focusing on watercolor and oil paintings. She was a member of the Contemporary Art Society, New Mexico Watercolor Society, The Albuquerque Museum Foundation and the New Mexico Art League. Mary donated her time for many years as a volunteer art teacher in the APS system and in Albuquerque senior centers. Mary's family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Special Live-In Care, Inc. and Hospice of the Sandias for their wonderful and compassionate care.
