With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, MaryLou Malm Parks, on October 17, 2023.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri, on December 28, 1934, she was the cherished daughter of Charles and Francis Bowles.
MaryLou leaves behind a loving legacy in her son, Charles Malm; daughter-in-law, Annique Malm; her grandson, Gavin Malm; granddaughter, Carin Corrie; grandson-in-law Charlie Corrie; and great-grandchildren, Olivia and Max Corrie.
Relocating to Albuquerque in 1972, MaryLou quickly became an integral part of the community. As a devoted mother and grandmother, she cherished every moment with her family and friends, celebrating life's joys and challenges with grace and humor. Her passion extended to the art scene in New Mexico, where she dedicated countless hours as a representative and promoter. She fervently advocated for local artists, ensuring they received their deserved recognition.
Her zest for life was evident in every adventure she undertook. MaryLou was not just an observer; she lived life to the fullest. She regaled us all with stories of her travels that many could only dream of, always with humor at the forefront. A lover of a hearty laugh, she never turned down the chance to enjoy a good joke. Equally, she appreciated the simple pleasures, like savoring a stiff drink in the company of dear friends and family.
Please join us as we celebrate MaryLou's incredible journey on Monday, October 30th, at 10:00 AM. A rosary and funeral service will be held at French Funerals and Cremations, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. N.E., Albuquerque, NM 87109
