Mary Lou (nee Richardson) Keating, 89, transitioned Sunday, December 1, 2024, in Edgewood, NM. She was born Friday, December 7, 1934, in the Darcy Hospital in Miles City, MT. Her parents Clarence and Kathleen Richardson took her home to Sonnette, MT. She attended Mitchell School, Sonnett, MT, Lincoln School, Miles City, MT, Custer County High School, Miles City MT, graduating with the class of 1953. She graduated from Eastern Montana College in Elementary Education in Billings, MT with an AA degree in Elementary Education.

She was married to Kenneth J. Keating on Sunday, January 8, 1956, in the First Presbyterian Church in Miles City, MT.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth J. Keating; her brother, and sister-in-law, Dick and Arleen Richardson, and son-in- law, Chris Floy.

Her survivors are daughter, Laurie (Keating) Floy, Laramie, WY, daughter, Kathleen J. Keating (George Farr) Edgewood, NM.; grandson, Cactus Floy (Lindsey Kawcak); and great- granddaughters, Catelynn and Kindyle, of Powell, WY; and grandson, Colter Floy (Justina), and great-granddaughters, Leica, Everly, and Ibie, of Laramie, WY; and niece, Tami Richardson, Minneapolis, MN.

She was a member of Unity Church of Mohave Valley and served eight years as Prayer Chaplain. She was last employed at Bullhead City Junior High School as Secretary. She always worked in school systems throughout her career. She was employed at the University of Wyoming, first in the Division of Student Financial Aids and then the Division of Instructional Telecommunication Services. In June 1985, she was selected as the Outstanding Staff Person at the University of Wyoming. She enjoyed her family and friends and valued the time they spent with her.

The Family would like to recognize the outstanding care she received at the BeeHive Homes of Edgewood, NM and the end of life care provided by Abode Hospice.

A private Celebration of Life will be held in the Summer of 2025. Memorial donations can be made to the Unity Church of Mohave Valley, Bullhead City, AZ or to the Alzheimer's Association.
