Mary F. Lopez, 87 years young, passed peacefully on the morning of Sunday, September 4, 2022, surrounded by her family. She passed 18 days after a sudden heart attack.
Mary was born on March 25, 1935, in Gallup NM, to Clemente and Mariana Martinez and went to Gallup High School. There she met the love of her life, Lawrence "Shorty" Lopez married on March 13th, 1952, the father of her seven children Danny, Jimmy, Jennie, Maryann, Theresa, David "mom's bouncing baby boy" Jesse, half-brother, Larry, and wife Gloria Friday; 15 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces; and her pets: Gracie, George, Bella, Lucky and Pumpkin. They moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1957. She pre-deceased her parents, ex-husband, Lawrence, her sons, Danny, and Jimmy; grandsons, Jimmy Jr., Jesse Jr., and Larry Jr.; granddaughter, Loriann; siblings, Max, Frenchie, Fred "Sony" Margaret Arriola and Flora Baca.
Mary worked as a hotel maid and loved her job, she also loved BINGO! During her golden years she looked forward to double mint gum and "keKe". Benny Cordova was her wonderful companion for 16 years.

A Visitation will be held Friday, September 23, 2022, beginning at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m., at FRENCH - University. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m., at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery in Albuquerque.
