71 years old, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard (Dick) Johnson, of Albuquerque; two sons, Richard Johnson of Albuquerque and Robert Johnson, of Denver and our 3 grandchildren; Sara, Jacob, and Berkeley; her two sisters, Mercedes Mott, of Albuquerque and Algeria Eastman, of St Petersburg, Florida; sister-in-law, Helen Washington, of Albuquerque; four Aunts; one Uncle; many nieces and nephews; and beloved friends. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; Mrs. Dovie Washington and Mr. Moses Washington and brother, Henry (Sonny) Washington. Jean was president of the Home Circle Club in Albuquerque and a graduate of Albuquerque High School, class of 1960. Friends may visit at French-Lomas location on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Services for Jean will be held on May 8, 2013 at 11:00 am at French-Lomas location with Rev. Michael Sumbry officiating. The interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens Cemetery. A reception to follow at Mount Olive Baptist Church, 2401 University Blvd. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106. Active Pallbearers will include; Hugh Barlow, Glen Gares, Dan Morehead, Richard G. Johnson Jr, Sheldon Jordan, and Larry Lovato. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Home Circle Club. "This loved & loving woman, in every storm of life was oak and rock, but in the sunshine she was vine & flowers. She added to the sum of human joy. And if everyone for whom she did some loving kindness were to bring just one blossom to her grave, she would sleep tonight beneath a wilderness of flowers."
