Mary Hoffman

92, a resident of Albuquerque since 1950, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012. She is survived by her children Suzy Robinson and husband, Reg of Albuquerque; Joe Tomei and wife Patti of Glendale, AZ; Melida Hedberg and husband Steve of Albuquerque; stepchildren David Hoffman and wife Sally, Paul Hoffman and wife Janice, Gail Trimble and husband Bob, Nancy Salas and husband Leroy, and Judy Collinsworth and husband Larry; numerous grandchildren and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands Eugene Tomei and Carl Hoffman; by her parents and her two brothers. She moved to Albuquerque to study opera, but married and started a family instead. Her love of music carried over to the many piano students she taught over the years. Her devotion to family was unsurpassed. We and the many people who lives she touched will miss her terribly. A Rosary will be recited Friday, November 23, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas Pl. NE, Mass will be celebrated immediately following with Reverend Michael Cimino presiding. Date of burial of her cremains at Mount Calvary Cemetery is yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church where she had been such an active member for so many years.
