Mary Elise Senter- Glenn

June 29, 1926 — June 25, 2014

Mary Elise Senter-Glenn, loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 25, 2014. She is survived by her four children with Albert Melvin Senter Jr., Ann and husband Hassan of Seattle, Ted and wife Sherry of Roswell, Ruth and husband Tony of Corrales, and Park of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Stephanie, Justin, Gazalle, Matthew, Chance, Kian and Taylor; and step-children from her marriage to George W. Glenn Jr., Michael and wife Becki of Fort Worth, TX, Janell and husband Mel of Albuquerque and John Mark of Albuquerque, and their children, Aaron, Melissa, Cassidy and Jeffrey. Mary had many great-grandchildren from both sides. She is preceded in death by her son, Larry Senter; grandson, Jordon Senter; and her sister, Elsie King. Mary was born on June 29, 1926 in Natchez, MS and grew up in the Panama Canal. She attended Fashion Design School in NYC after graduation from high school and as a young woman moved to New Mexico where she resided for the remainder of her life. Mary was a member of First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho and enjoyed the company of many friends there. She was a self-educated woman, strong in her beliefs and known for her love of reading, travel, generosity, crocheting and ability to do complex math without a calculator. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho, 3906 19th Ave. SE, Rio Rancho, 87124. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary's honor to First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho Christmas Program, a favorite library or charity of your choice.
