Mary D. Gasser, age 87, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2016. Mary was born in Chicago, IL. She was known throughout life as a gracious, caring, and fun person. She was especially fond of volunteering, gardening, and bridge with her numerous friends and family. Mary touched the lives of many, and maintained numerous lifetime friendships.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, WWII veteran bomber pilot Robert J. Gasser. She was also preceded in death by her parents and each of her siblings. She is survived by her two children, Linda K. Kitterman and Greg R. Gasser, as well as leaving cherished grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Mary and Bob moved to Albuquerque for a fulfilling and fun retirement, and Albuquerque rapidly became home for them.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., at the La Vida Llena Chapel, 10501 Lagrima De Oro Rd NE. She will be interred with her husband in a private service at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
