Mary Brandiger

Age 82, a resident of Albuquerque, went to be with our Lord in Heaven on Monday, November 5, 2012. She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Frederick Joseph Brandiger of Albuquerque, NM; daughters, Christine (Richard) Gentry of Albuquerque, NM, Julie (John) Avery of Ramona, CA, Maryann (Greg) Jones of Salt Lake City, UT; son, Tony Brandiger of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Edith Dolan; step-mother, Johnnie Boyington of Solvang, CA; fourteen grandchildren including Brian Walker and Tara Graves; and ten great-grandchildren. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her daughter, Jan Marie Avegalio; father, Sidney Daniel Kelly and mother, Margaret Irma Rice. She was a devout member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church and volunteered as a member of St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary for over thirty years. Mary Jane loved to travel, entertain friends, and spend time with her family. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, November 8, 2012, 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas and Tennessee Albuquerque, with the Marionites reciting. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated immediately following the Rosary at 11:00 a.m. with Father Edward Domme as the Celebrant. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society, nationalmssociety.org. Her family would like to extend their thanks to her caregivers and the staff of Presbyterian Hospice.
