Mary Kathryn (Koury) Barrack

Mary Kathryn Barrack, born in 1923, was called to her eternal resting place October 18, 2018. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Barrack; her beloved son, George Richard Barrack; her parents, Richard and Zahia Koury; her seven beloved sisters, Sadie, Rose, Sophie, Bobbe, Thelma, Nora, and Camille; and her only brother, George.

Mary is survived by her two daughters, Martha Grace and Yvette Miriam; her loving sister, Betty Jo; her seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Mary loved singing and had a most delightful lirico-spinto soprano voice. Her “Ave Maria” and “O Holy Night” were divine.

Through her illness, Mary was enabled to remain at home because of the profound loving care of her caregiver, Gail Jauregui, who gave Mary eight years of very kind devotion. We also extend our sincere thanks to Davie and the hospice staff for their kindness.

We have treasured our sweet Mary and give thanks for her life with us. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those friends whose lives she touched.

Rosary will be recited Thursday, October 25, 2018, 7:00 p.m., at FRENCH – Wyoming. Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 26, 2018, 9:00 a.m., at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 4th St. NW.
