Marvin M. Moseley, our dear husband and father, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, March 20. Marvin was born on February 5, 1928 in Venus (now Edgewood), NM, to Willie Elson Moseley and Mattie Bell Moseley. He was predeceased by his parents and older siblings, Ada Moseley, and William Elson Moseley. He is survived by his wife, Helen Hatton Moseley; daughter, Myra O'Canna (Gary); and son, Ray Moseley (Barbara); grandchildren, Glen O'Canna (Maria-Elena P. O'Canna), Katherine Moseley, Travis O'Canna (Ashleigh Davies), and Randy O'Canna (Ashly Gonzales); great-grandchildren Elijah and Mateo O'Canna.
Marvin moved to Albuquerque in 1947 to attend the University of New Mexico. He married the love of his life and best friend, Helen, in 1949. Marvin and Helen were married for over 72 years. He was a devoted family man and a good friend. We all enjoyed his amiable, kind personality. He was a life-long Christian and attended Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church for many years. Marvin worked at Creamland Dairies as a manager and retail supervisor for 29 years. He was a real estate broker for over 20 years and a million-dollar producer. He owned and managed apartments and rental homes. He was a jack-of-all-trades and could fix almost anything on his properties. He built the first home for his young family by the time he was 23 years old.
He was physically active his entire life and persevered after heart bypass surgery, cancer, and a stroke. He and Helen enjoyed many wonderful trips, traveling in the U.S. and around the world. He truly was an inspiration to his family and will always be in their hearts.
