Martin M. Fischer

Martin M. Fischer, 96, died Sunday, March 10, 2019.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carlotta; his children, Vincent Fischer, Gregory Fischer (Vaune), Veronica Doolittle (Michael); grandchildren, Adam Donato (Alicia), Victoria Castleberry (Justin), Melissa Fischer; his great-grandchildren, Jarrod Donato, Lilliana Donato, Nicholas Donato, Bethany Donato, Sarah Donato, Logan Lane, and Van Lane; and many other family and friends. Mr. Fischer was preceded in death by his grandson, Marc Donato; and his parents, Andrew and Emily.

He served our country in the United States Army, Heavy Armament, before going to art school in Chicago.  Martin then went to work for Sandia National Labs until he retired.  Mr. Fischer was a boy scout leader for many years and was active in the Knights of Columbus and The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

A Rosary will be recited Monday, March 18, 2019, 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Tuesday, March 19, 2019, 9:00 a.m. at The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd NE.  Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
