Martin (Mike) J. Crotty, died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at UNM Hospital following a stroke. He was 77. Mike is survived by his wife, Sandra, of the family home; sister and brother-in-law, Marcia and Lou Hoffman; nieces, Natalie Hoffman and Leslie Hoffman, all of Albuquerque; stepdaughter, Cari Hall, her husband, Ian Hall and their son, Zain Hall, all of Alamogordo, NM; sister-in-law, Gretchen Marvin of Tacoma, WA; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Gloria Koch of Henderson, NV. He also leaves behind his faithful four-legged pal, Clancy.

Mike was born July 6, 1939, in Oak Park, IL, to the late Martin and Mary Crotty. He moved with his family to Albuquerque in 1955 and graduated from Highland High School in 1956. He attended the University of New Mexico and played the baritone saxophone as a member of UNM's jazz band, Fanfare. He spent his sales and management career with local paper companies and in residential real estate. Following his retirement, he enjoyed working part-time at Budget Rent A Car at the Albuquerque International Sunport. One of Mike's proudest achievements was obtaining his private pilot's license and exploring the skies in his Cessna.
