Martin Gerard Castillo

January 23, 1963 — November 26, 2021

Martin Castillo, 58, beloved Father and Brother, was called to his eternal resting place on November 26, 2021. He entered this world on January 23, 1963 in Grants, New Mexico, born to Napolion and Irene Castillo. He is survived by his son Pablo Castillo; son David Castillo; daughter Amanda Sanchez; brother Kenneth Castillo; sister Virginia Brewer; brother Victor Castillo; sister Andrea Bonney. Martin served in the US Air Force from 1988-1997 taking him to Brazil, and his family overseas to Japan. After being honorably discharged from his military service, Martin devoted his life to being a father and coach while working as a network administrator in various educational settings throughout New Mexico. Riding motorcycles became Martin's passion during his retirement. He participated in countless Patriot Guard Rider missions to escort his military brethren to their final resting places. His lifelong penchant for adventure and restless nature led to Martin putting in tens of thousands of miles each year on journeys to see as much of the country he served as possible. Martin lived in Elephant Butte, NM and passed time with his American Legion family at Post 44. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 11:00 am at FRENCH-Wyoming, followed by a Patriot Guard escort to Mount Calvary Cemetery where he will be reunited with Lynn Castillo, his beloved wife.
