Martha Lou Weller

Martha Lou Weller, age 83, passed away Thursday, May 19th, 2022, Martha was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister and best friend. Martha was a dedicated cosmetology educator who built the cosmetology department for UNM Gallup earning them their accreditation, she also worked at New Mexico Junior College in Hobbs, NM, as well as beauty schools in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. Martha served on the National Board of Cosmetology. She also served on the VICCA board for the skillsUSA competition. She is survived by her husband, Joe; her son, Fredrick; and her two granddaughters, Frankki and Stella. She also leaves her cherished sister, Ruby; and brother, Charlie. Martha was preceded in death by her oldest son, Frank. She will be greatly missed by many. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022, this will be an open house event starting at 12:00 p.m. This will be held at Martha and Joe's home.
