Martha Viola Martinez

Martha Viola Martinez, 76, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother was called to her eternal resting place on December 7, 2015, after a short battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. She was born on May 6, 1939, in Albuquerque, NM, to Alfredo and Lola Martinez, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, John Martinez; her daughter, Annelle Bartlett and her sons, Troy and Kyle; her daughter, Dina and husband Kenny Holcomb and their children, Aidan and Alayna; and her siblings, Pat Martinez and his wife Mehry, Frank Robert Martinez, and Rosalie Nicholls and husband David. She was preceded in death by her sister Berlinda "Berli" Martinez. Martha retired from Sandia National Labs in 1970 and became a homemaker and her husband's biggest supporter in establishing and running Management Associates.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town, 800 Rio Grande Blvd. NW with reception to follow.
