Marlyn Kay Hubbard 84, entered the Lord's kingdom for eternal rest on Saturday, May 20, 2023. She entered this world in Corning, New York on Sunday, June 26, 1938 to the joy of her parents Harry and Frances (McGhee) Naylor.
Marlyn spent her lifetime doing for others never wanting anything in return. She was blessed with the gentlest soul and incredibly kind heart. She also shared the sweetest sense of humor, always telling people, "don't take any wooden nickels". She devoted her life to her family which was her greatest love. And being Nana was her greatest joy. Marlyn had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities. Her hobbies included sewing, basket making, quilting, studying the Bible and purchasing anything labeled "new" or "improved". She loved quiet evenings with friends with a glass of wine in hand. Devoted to her faith, she volunteered for many years in her church communities guiding the youth, feeding the hungry and spreading the gospel. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.
Preceded in death to welcome her into the heavenly kingdom were her parents; her brother, Larry 'Butchie' Naylor; and her devoted husband, Tom whom she was married to for 54 years. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law David and Carla Hubbard; her daughter, Patsi Hubbard; her 4 treasured grandsons Cary Hubbard (Zach), Elliot Hubbard (Leddy), Evan Hubbard (Sydney) and Dale Case (Christina), and her 4 precious great-grandsons, Braxton, Zeke, Zachary and Axeton. Marlyn also had many dear friends she held close in her heart.
Her Funeral will be a private ceremony for family members. She will be placed with her husband at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.
