Marlin Aker

September 23, 1917 — June 11, 2013

Age 95, a resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013. He is survived by his children, Marlin Aker Jr. and wife, Joyce of Albuquerque, NM, Larry Aker and wife, Hazel of Poway, CA, and Susan Eubank and husband, Danny of San Marcos, CA. Mr. Aker is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and many other family including his sister, Betty Speer and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; his parents, Quincy and Olive Aker; his brothers, Everal and Preston, and a great grandson, Coulter McCall. He served our country during World War II in the US Navy. Marlin and Margaret were faithful members of Netherwood Park Church of Christ where he served as an elder. He was also a member of the Plumbers Union Local 412. Mr. Aker was also a board member of the Ponderosa Christian Camp. His Service will be Sunday, June 16, 2013, 4:00 p.m. at Netherwood Park Church of Christ, 5101 Indian School Rd NE. Interment will follow at the McCall / Aker Family Cemetery. Friends may visit FRENCH - Lomas, Friday, June 14, 2013, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ponderosa Christian Camp c/o Netherwood Park Church of Christ.
