Marlene A. Herman (Raj), age 83, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023. Marlene was born in Chicago, IL and came to New Mexico in 1963 with her husband where she resided until her death. She graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Chicago, IL.
Marlene worked for APS in the cafeteria and retired from the State of NM Dept. of Labor. She was a member of Holy Ghost Church and the Rosary Altar Society. She loved to read and crochet. Marlene was a member of Highland Senior Center where she loved to play bingo.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph Raj and Irene Raj (Kuchar); her husband of 60 years, Wayne Herman, who passed away on April 27, 2023; her grandson, Rudolph F. Herman, Jr. "RJ". She is survived by her children, Rudolph (Carol) Herman, and Kim (Gabriel) Trujeque and her granddaughter, Amanda (Seth) Fletcher; and 3 great-grandchildren, Ariana, Matalene and Jude.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023, beginning at 6:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., FRENCH - Lomas.
The Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 927 Arizona Ave SE - Albuquerque, NM 87108. The burial will follow the mass at 2:00 p.m., at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.
Pallbearers will be Rudolph Herman, Gabriel Trujeque, Seth Fletcher, Vince Guillen, Rik Chavez, and Daniel Bales. The Honorary Pallbearer will be Jude Fletcher.
