Marla Jo Wonn, 75, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at her home on June 15, 2017. She was born on February 22, 1942 in Takoma Park, MD, but spent most of her adult life in New Mexico and California.
Marla had a lifelong passion for books, plants and animals and was devoted to her family, friends and various social justice causes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lena Finzel, and her brother, Michael Finzel. Marla is survived by her brother, John Finzel; her sons, Patrick and Stanton Wonn, and her granddaughter, Reed Wonn.
A celebration of Marla’s life will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Westside. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marla’s memory may be made to Doctors Without Borders, www.doctorswithoutborders.org.
