Mark Entwisle

March 6, 1949 — August 17, 2024

Mark William Entwisle, age 75, went home to be with Our Lord on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Mark was known for his kindness and his love for his church. He is survived by his nephew Zachary Entwisle and his wife Elaine Almquist; his niece Cara Duke and her husband Robert Duke; his half-sister Karol Becerra; and his half- brother James Entwisle. Also touching his life are his good friends, Jaime Rios, Neil Coddington and his late wife Betty Jo Coddington, and the many members of his beloved Monterey Baptist Church Community. Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Entwisle, his father William "Bill" Entwisle and his younger brother Kirk Entwisle.

Mark was born in Akron, Ohio, and later moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he resided for the rest of his life. Mark graduated from Highland High School and later enlisted in the Navy, where he served on a Naval Carrier stationed in the Philippines for three years. While Mark worked for a variety of jobs, his proudest accomplishment was working for the First Baptist Church in downtown, Albuquerque, and a custodian. Mark took great pride in his work and loved being of service to others.

Mark was a quiet and reserved man, but he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and church. Mark brought immeasurable joy and light into the lives of those he touched with his kind heart and friendly smile. Mark will truly be missed.
