Mark Douglas Alexander, 55, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away unexpectedly on December 5, 2023, in an automobile accident. He was born on May 15, 1968, in Frankfurt, Germany to Clayton Bill Alexander and Iris (Thorton) Alexander. 

Mark is survived by his wife of 30 years, Christina Alexander, and their beloved dog Tyson. He is also survived by his stepmother, Faye Alexander (Dallas, TX), his brother Bill and Marcia Alexander (Santa Fe, NM), father-in-law Reynaldo Gonzales Jr (Albuquerque, NM), sister in-law Gloria and Robert (Bo) Quillan (Albuquerque, NM), sister in-law Irma and Eric Taylor (Albuquerque, NM).

Mark will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews Laura, Neil and Brianna Hoffman (Colorado Springs, CO), Ashley and Alec Gonzales (Phoenix, AZ), Levi Gonzales (Albuquerque, NM), Nico and Mariah Taylor (Albuquerque, NM).  He shared a lifelong friendship with his childhood friends Steven and Frank Sage and their mother Juanita Sage.  Very close friend of Mark and Christina-Sandy Salazar (Rio Rancho, NM).

He is preceded in death by his parents Iris (Thornton) Alexander and Clayton Alexander and mother in-law Marina Estevane.

Mark proudly served in the United States Air Force.  For the past 25 years Mark worked in the concrete industry as a Redi-Mix driver, for the past 3 years he was a driver for Roadrunner Redi Mix.

Mark will be greatly missed by Christina and Tyson and all his family and friends.  Mark enjoyed going to Formula One racing every year, riding his motorcycle, working on his car “Daisy” and working on his collection of model cars.

In honor of Mark, Steve and Frank Sage; Tom and Mathew Couch, Eric Taylor and Levi Gonzales will serve as his Pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers are all his co-workers/drivers with Roadrunner Redi Mix and previous co-workers and friends.

Please join us as we remember and celebrate the life of Mark Douglas Alexander. A celebration of Mark's life will be held on December 29, 2023. The viewing will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by the services at 2:00 pm. A reception in honor of Mark will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at French Funerals & Cremations, located at 7121 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.

Family or friends are invited to tell stories or share a favorite memory of Mark during the service or reception.

Christina would like to “Thank” everyone for reaching out, visiting, prayers and offering support through this difficult and unimaginable time. 

Life’s too short not to tell someone you love them each and every day.  It only takes a spit second to lose that opportunity forever.
