Marjorie L. West

Marjorie L. West, 93, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away peacefully on July 30, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband, Glenn. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon (John); granddaughters, Shauna Winburn and Kelsey Martinez (Reuben); great-grandchildren, Ashley and George Martinez and Maya and Paloma Winburn; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Marj's greatest joys were spending time camping with friends known as "the gang," bowling, church activities and, more recently, weekly card games with her neighbors. Marjorie and Glenn were active members of Peralta Methodist Church and greatly enjoyed being a part of the community for over 40 years. Our thanks go to her long-time caregiver, Shirley Winchester, and the loving staff at Fairwinds Rio Rancho where she happily lived her last months. Part of her career was spent as volunteer coordinator for Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque, and memorial donations may be made in Marjorie's name to that organization at www.mow-nm.org/how-you-can-help/monetary-donations/

A Celebration of her life will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH – University. Private family burial will take place in the morning at 9:30 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park.
