Marjorie Mese, or as she was lovingly known as “Grandma, Great Grandma, and Great-Great Grandma” went home to be with her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 11, 2020.
She is survived by her granddaughter Tammy and husband Steven Simpson of Corrales, New Mexico and grandson Paul and wife Alyson Guttke of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; Great grandson Brandon and wife Jocelyn Guttke of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Great granddaughter Tori Guttke of Wentzville, Missouri; Great-Great grandson Kobe Guttke of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; Nephew Danny Hartranft, who was more like a son to her, and wife Bonnie of La Luz, NM; special family friend Donald Prock and numerous other Nieces and Nephews.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Mese and daughter, Sandra Guttke.
She was born and raised in Crane, Missouri and lived there until she met and married Alvin Mese in 1942. They lived in various states and eventually settled in Albuquerque, New Mexico in the late 1950’s.
Marjorie gave her life to the Lord at a young age and eventually went on to be an Ordained minister of the gospel. She was eventually called to start a ministry in Alamogordo, NM and spent many years traveling the road from Albuquerque to Alamogordo to build her church and minister to those in need. She was President and founder of Sacred Vision Church Inc., based in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
Grandma led a simple life. And she led by example and always made it a point to demonstrate the love and grace of Jesus to her family and friends. She was a prayer warrior for anyone who had a need. There was never a job too large or too small that she would not tackle. She truly had the heart of a servant. She was always a peace maker and had a sweet, gentle spirit and smile that was contagious.
Grandma was a strong and determined woman of God. We all will miss her every day.
Special thanks to the wonderful owners Glen, Anna Belle and RaeAnna Garcia of Albuquerque Uptown Assisted Living, the Caregiver manager Terricia Stevenson and her staff of caregivers, and the nurses and doctors at Hospice of New Mexico who provided invaluable care to Grandma in her last years.
A private family funeral will be held at FRENCH - Westside and interment at Sunset Memorial Park following.
