Marjorie Jane (Nehe) Kannolt

Born Marjorie Jane Nehe in Lincoln, Nebraska she died at the age of 86 on December 14, 2018. She was a loving spirited and spiritual woman who volunteered with many church and community groups.

Preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Mary Nehe and younger brothers, Jerry and Jim. Her surviving sisters are Nancy (Bill) Krueger, Mary Beth, and Kathy Nehe along with numerous cherished nieces and nephews.

The heart of her life revolved around her family. Her husband of 64 years Jim, daughters Cathy (Tony) Rooyakkers, Diane (Tom) Gallegos, Mary (Keith) Baumgardner, and son John (Raelene) Kannolt. She also leaves eight precious grandchildren, Kris and Erik Rooyakkers, Mike (Megan) Gallegos, Aubrey Gallegos, Kameron (Sarah) Baumgardner, Kody Baumgardner, Ewan and Evelyn Kannolt; and great-grandchildren, Julian, Dario and Tatiana Gallegos.

She was fascinated with her ancestry and sharing knowledge about her extended family. She honestly never met a stranger. Finding joy in the ordinary and connection with people she loved to talk about books, social justice, nature and music. Our mother had a very generous spirit. She will be forever loved and missed.

A Celebration of Life Mass will be held Friday, January 4, 2019, 11:00 a.m., at St. John the XXIII Catholic Church, 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE, Albuquerque, 87111.
