Maritza E. Rodriguez

Maritza E. Rodriguez left the bonds of this earth to spend eternity with our Lord on Thursday, May 6, 2021.  Maritza was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on April 25, 1967 and grew up in Albuquerque. She attended Menaul School and graduated from West Mesa High School in 1985. She worked her entire career and retired from the City of Albuquerque.  She is survived by her parents Carmelo and Genoveva Rodriguez; son Richard Candelaria; daughter Alisha Candelaria; grandson Mason Mendez; sister Maria Wolfram and family, Janae and Nikki; and sister Mayra Lewis and family, Manuel, Lucas, and Rebeca.  Maritza’s quote to live by was live, love, laugh.  She loved life and to go on adventures, especially going to the lake and spending time with her family.  She loved motorcycle rides and trips to the mountains of New Mexico.  She was never afraid to be silly and make people laugh. We’ll love you to the moon and back.
