Marion C. McBreen

MCBREEN, MARION CURRIER Marion McBreen entered the kingdom of God on November 15, 2013 at the age of 90. Marion was born in Redondo Beach, California at the sound of the breakers. Her family moved to New Mexico and she grew up on the family ranches in Glorieta which later was to become the Baptist Assembly and in Pecos. While living on the ranch, she competed in many horse shows in Santa Fe and won many ribbons. From Pecos, she moved to Albuquerque and then to Oklahoma City. In 1953, she moved back to Albuquerque with her mother and two boys where she has resided until her passing. Marion attended school in Santa Fe, and graduated from Santa Fe High School. She went on to attend the University of New Mexico and Oklahoma City University and received her BS degree in Chemistry. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority as well as Spurs. Marion was a registered Medical Technologist and worked for the NM State Health Lab and a private physician. Marion was an avid horse racing fan, a UNM basketball fan and season ticket holder and a fan of her beloved St. Louis Cardinals. Marion always looked forward to the NM State Fair having attended every year. Marion was a member of the DAR and Central United Methodist Church. Marion loved her little terrier dog named Bugsy and he will greatly miss her. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson C. and Pearl Ada Currier as well as her loving brother, Wilson C. (Bill) Currier, Jr. and her sisters, Ruth Brown, Helen DoBell and good friend Dr. A. A. Horvath.. She is survived by her two sons, Robert M. McBreen and Connie Gonzales of Albuquerque and Wilson C. McBreen of Rio Rancho. She has four grandchildren, Lucinda Wellman and husband Eric, Rebecca, James, and Michael McBreen and four great-grandchildren, Ryan, Samantha, Andrew, and Matthew and many other family and friends. A Funeral Ceremony will be Tuesday, November 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 201 University Blvd. NE. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Santa Fe. Friends may visit at FRENCH - University, 1111 University Blvd. NE on Monday, November 18 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. FRENCH - University 1111 University Blvd NE 505-843-6333
