Marion Armstrong

May 14, 1929 — January 4, 2015

Marion June Armstrong, 85, went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2015, which was her golden anniversary, she celebrated half a day with the love of her life, R.L. She was a born-again Christian and wanted everyone to know that Jesus loved them and wanted them to know Him. She was born in 1929 during the Great Depression in Minot, N.D. She also lived in Montana, Washington and finally in Albuquerque, NM, where she lived out her life. She had such a giving heart toward sheltered animals and needy children, she would do anything for those who needed her help. She assisted in vacation bible school, worked as an aide in the elementary school library, and was a full-time stay at home mom. She loved bowling, hunting, camping, playing cards and watching TV game shows. She avidly rooted for the SF 49ers, listened to her favorite western singer, Waylon Jennings and enjoyed NM green chile! She had the most beautiful blue eyes, and she loved to show them off with her love of turquoise jewelry. We lost an amazing woman here on earth, but Heaven gained a beautiful Angel. We will miss her dearly. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, R.L. Armstrong, 6 children, Allan Hill of Albuquerque, Tiny (Leslie) Hill of Washington, Donna Cannon of Idaho, Greg Hill of California, Rebecca Miller and Linda Armstrong, both of Albuquerque, 2 sisters, Doris Orefice of Oregon, and Shirley Vicaire of Washington, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services were held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at FRENCH - University. Interment followed at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marion's name to the Disabled American Veterans, . FRENCH - University 1111 University Blvd NE 505-843-6333
