Marie 'Noeline' Fanning passed away peacefully in Albuquerque on May 28, 2021. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William (Bill) Fanning; brother, Johnny Mounyo; parents, Jean Noel and Marianne Mounyo. She is survived by her son, Mark Pickens (Texas); daughter, Robin Byrne (California); and sister, Josephine Harris.
Born in Magdalena on March 3, 1930, raised in Polvadera, Noeline attended Socorro High School where she was an outstanding student. She was a cheerleader, enjoyed singing, dancing, and playing saxophone. After graduation she attended NMSU where she was a member of Chi Omega before eventually marrying Conrad Pickens and moving to Albuquerque to start a family.
Her career started at Sandia, then came more opportunities with UNM Medical School. She enjoyed her work and raising her children. Later in life she was active in Sweet Adelines, enjoyed raising her roses, camping and traveling. She was always looking her best, in fashion and had a talent for decorating.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Services for Noeline are to be held at FRENCH-Wyoming, 7121 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM, on Saturday, June 5, 2021, 9:00 AM. Interment to follow.
