Marilyn, 85, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, died May 1, 2022. She is survived by her children, Thomas and wife Danielle Trodden of Albuquerque, NM; William and wife Elena Trodden of Belen, NM Jacqueline and husband Todd Anderson of California, MD; grandchildren, Matt Trodden, Caitlin Jojola (Cole), Taylor Trodden (Sal Gonzales), Patrick Trodden (Cristina), Michael Anderson (Jenna), Benjamin Anderson, Jake Gardner (Cierra Mills), and John Trodden; great grandchildren, Tony Jojola, Carlisle Mills, and Brandt Jojola. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, John (Jack) Trodden; father, Emil J. Kadlec; mother, Marie Kadlec; and brother Emil G. Kadlec. Marilyn graduated from UNM with a BS in Biology. She worked at Lovelace Medical as a Medical Technologist working with America's first Astronauts. After getting married, she stayed home to raise her family. When her kids were older, she became a special education teacher's aide for Albuquerque Public Schools. Later, she became a real-estate broker / agent, which she enjoyed. She had many hobbies and was a gifted crafter. She enjoyed her garden and her beloved turtles. She cherished her friendships and the great adventures they shared. She loved occasions which brought family together. She will be missed. Rosary will be recited Friday, May 6, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost, 833 Arizona SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106. A Celebration of Life Mass in her honor will follow at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Ranches at www.theranches.org or Wounded Warriors at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
