Marie Gaston

Marie Dale Gaston, loving Mother, doting Grammie and true friend to many, was called to Heaven by our Lord after a long courageous battle. Marie was born to Virgil and Marie Waddell in Wilson, AK on March 5, 1938. She passed on June 10, 2013, in Albuquerque NM with her family by her side. She was 75 years young. Marie lived a life filled with many careers and adventures and touched many lives. She was always there for family, friends and strangers. "Her glass was always half full." Riding motorcycles across the United States including Alaska and Canada, and traveling on new adventures with her granddaughter was one of her favorite pastimes. Her smiles and bright blue eyes will be missed by many. She was a PEO member for over 50 years. She was a member of Calvary Church in Albuquerque. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Marie Waddell; brother, Benton Waddell; sons, Paul Gaston and Benton Gaston; and daughter, Victoria Gaston. Marie is survived by her daughter, Cindy Ferris; granddaughter, Kaysey Ferris; Tom Fitzsimmons; sister, Debbie Poland and husband Dave; niece, Stephanie Poland; sister-in- law, Judy Waddell, as well as many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
