Marie Antoinette (Toni) Brisky passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 at the age of 67. Toni was born in Albuquerque, and although she lived in Illinois, Alaska, and Washington state, she returned to Albuquerque. Upon her return she devoted her life to her career; working first on Manzano Base, and then Kirtland Air Force Base managing the security police department as a civil servant for 40 years until she retired to help care for her mother before her mother's passing. She was also a tireless advocate for animals, volunteering at Wildlife Rescue, rehabilitating birds and small wildlife. Toni was a generous contributor to many animal charities, and she was devoted to her many pets. Toni loved to garden and be outdoors getting her fingers dirty, and spent many happy days exploring and hiking around New Mexico. Toni is survived by her brother, Edward Roy Brisky and her sister-in-law, Martha Brisky of El Morro, NM; and her sister, Amy Brisky of Albuquerque, NM. A Service will not be held, but in memory of Toni, a contribution to your favorite animal charity would be welcome.
