FRITZ, MARIAN ELIZABETH HOLLERICH Marian Elizabeth Hollerich Fritz, age 90 of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 2, 2013. Marian was born on August 2, 1923 in Santa Fe, NM to Frank E. and Winifred Stevens Hollerich. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Velten F. Fritz. She is survived by her three sons, Stephen (Marie) of Albuquerque, Philip (Judy) of Portland, OR and David (Stefa) of Tajique, NM; three daughters, Jean Latham (David) of Rio Rancho, Mary Ellen Farrelly (David) of Albuquerque, and Teri McMillan (Michael) of Rio Rancho; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. During her childhood, she lived in Seattle, WA, Long Beach, CA, Encino, NM and Albuquerque and Santa Fe. She graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1941. During World War II, she worked in the business office of Mountain States Telephone Company during the day and volunteered as a Red Cross nurses' aide during the evening. After raising her six children, Marian became school secretary at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School from 1971-83. From 1985-87, she was the office manager for Bill Skillman Realtor. After she retired, Marian volunteered as a docent at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History, as a cuddler of new born babies at the University of New Mexico Hospital and as a secretary at the Barrett House. Marian will be interred at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal SE.
