Maria D. (Silva) De Luca

Maria D. De Luca, "Lubi", beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Friend, went to be with our Lord on April 3, 2021 at the age of 74. She was born in Belen, NM on August 16, 1946. She was caring, loving, hardworking and generous. She had a high-spiritedness that brightened a room when she entered and always managed to find the courage to remain optimistic even in the face of trials.


John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die."
She was preceded in death by her Father, Ricardo L. Silva and Mother, Aurelia M. Silva.

She is survived by her Son, James P. De Luca Jr., Daughter, Diane M. Freeman and her Husband John C. Freeman; Grandchildren, Charles G. Montiel Jr., Jacqueline M. Montiel, Dominic J. Diz, Angel R. De Luca and Bella R. De Luca; her Siblings and many cherished Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins and touched the lives of many others.

Pallbearers are Richard Silva, James P. De Luca Jr., John C. Freeman, Rudy Silva, Charles G. Montiel Jr., and Dominic J. Diz.

Family and Friends may visit FRENCH - Wyoming Saturday April 17, 2021 from 8:00-9:30am with funeral service to follow at 10:00am. Due to current health restrictions, the number of guests in attendance will be limited. She will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Her Daughter and Son in Law will have a life celebration at their home after the burial. Please contact them directly for the address and directions.
