Maria Ratner

Maria Ratner, beloved wife and mother, was called to her eternal resting place on April 3, 2017. She entered this world in 1936 in Athens, Greece, born to Sotirios and Demetra Diamantopoulos. She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Albert Ratner; daughter, Melinda Ratner; son, Andrew Ratner and wife, Carrie-Ann; grandchildren, Alexander and Talia Cohen; as well as many other loving family members and friends. Maria achieved both a bachelor's and master's degree followed by an extensive and successful career in real estate. Those who knew her will always remember her beauty, charm, intelligence and sense of humor. Maria embraced and celebrated her Greek heritage, culture, music and language. She was truly one of a kind.

Friends and family may visit FRENCH - University on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 6:00-7:00 p.m., and a Trisagion prayer service will follow. Services will be held Friday, April 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 308 High St. SE. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery.
