Maria Moreno

Maria Moreno, a homemaker, seamstress and life-long resident of Whittier, CA died on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at the age of 81.

Maria is survived by her husband (Juan Moreno); her children, Fernando and Jaime Moreno; her grandchildren, Devon, Dominic, Jade, Faith and Maxwell. She is predeceased by her mother, Maria Concepcion Rodriguez de Moran; her father, Isidro Rodriguez Gonzalez.

Maria was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco on April 8, 1943 to Isidro and Concepcion Rodriguez. Maria studied to become a seamstress. On February 20, 1966, she married Juan Moreno. On November 23, 1967 and November 10, 1968 respectively, she welcomed her two sons, who were the most important part of her life.

Maria was a devoted mother and a talented seamstress. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, painting, arts and crafts. She specialized in making custom wedding, bridesmaid and prom dresses. She managed the house and the upbringing of her children. She made certain that her children had a wide scope of activities to keep them busy and learning all they can. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday August 16, 2024 at the French Funerals 1275 Unser Blvd NE Rio Rancho, NM 87144. Deacon Delgado will officiate.
