Maria Loukes

Born April 19, 1931 and died January 30, 2013. Maria is survived by her husband Cortez D. Loukes; son John L. Loukes; daughter Victoria E. Greene; son-in-law Dana K. Greene; grandson Ryan N. Schaeffer; granddaughter Nicole A. Schaeffer; sister Pavilta Sedillo; brother Juan Muniz; mother Victoria Saiz; and father Juan L. Muniz. She worked as a Dietician Aide at the V.A. for 30 years and retired in 1996. She also worked for five years at Presbyterian Hospital with the senior citizens. Maria was a devoted catholic and was devoted to her family and truly was an angel on earth. She had a big heart and cared for everyone she knew. There will be a visitation Monday, February 11, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 2005 North Plaza NW, followed immediately by a Rosary. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. also at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
