Maria del Refugio "Cuca" Garay

Garay, Maria del Refugio "Cuca" Cuca was born in Huejucar, Jalisco, Mexico and moved to the US in the early 1950's. Maria was an amazing wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Cuca was preceded in death by her husband, Cruz of 55 years; her parents, Jose and Juanita Villegas; brothers, Irineo, Agustin and Ralph; sisters, Lupe and Adelaida. Cuca is survived by her children, Mario (Carolina), Maria Tita, Juanita (Guadalupe) and Leticia "Tish"; grandchildren, Mario S. (Reina, Esteban and Santino), Matthew (Jenessa, Fabian and Anias), Jonathan and Jordan. Cuca is also survived by her siblings, Javier, Sor. Josefina, Eulalia, Rosario and Celia (Emiliano II); and numerous nieces, nephews and honorary grandchildren. A rosary will be held Thursday, September 10, 2015, 7:00 p.m., at San Jose Parish, 2401 Broadway Blvd. SE. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, September 11, 2015, 10:00 a.m., at San Jose Parish, Father Erasmo Romero OFM, celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mario S., Matthew, Jonathan, Jordan Garay, Rudy and Chava Guzman. Honorary Pallbearers are Emiliano Herrera II, Jaime Hernandez and Jorge Mendez.
