Maria P. Banda

Maria P. Cardenas Banda, age 86, went home to be with her Lord on August 2, 2018 at her home in Albuquerque, NM. She was born on May 24, 1932 in Hachita, NM to Candelario and Amparo Echeribel Palomarez.

She is survived by her nine children and their spouses, Felipa and Ramiro Ramirez of Deming, Celia (Sally) and Mark Rieck of Silver City, Juan and Martha (Chela) Cardenas of Silver City, Jacinto Cardenas of Silver City, Teresa (Terry) and Gabriel (Sonny) Lopez of Deming, Rosa Maria (Rosie) and John (Sonny) Urenda of Nevada, Adelina (Lina) and Kevin Fast of Albuquerque, Esperanza (Hope) and Lane Logan of Silver City, and Lazaro (Laz) and Antoinette Cardenas of Arizona, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Angela (Angie) Gallegos of Deming, Manuel (Manny) Palomarez of Bayard, Lazaro Palomarez of Bayard, Olga Gonzales of Arizona, Beatrice (Betty) Rubio of Texas, and Jose (Joe) Palomarez of Deming and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jacinto Cardenas; two sisters, Manuela and Elvira, and four brothers, Antonio, Candelario, Pedro, and Victor Palomarez.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on August 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pajarito Meal Site Community Center located at 6080 Isleta Blvd SW in Albuquerque, NM.
