Margaurite Pearl Kephart was born February 3rd, 1930 in Clayton, NM. The second born of six children, she grew up farming and homesteading with her family during the great depression and the dust bowl. She was a loving sister and daughter and became a loving wife to her childhood sweetheart, Carroll Kephart, who became her husband in 1951. They had two children, Gerald and Gloria, and relocated to Albuquerque, NM, where they spent their lives. They became involved with the archaeological society, and became involved in their community. She was a religious woman, and took great pride in her love for God. She was incredibly strong and resilient, immensely loving and always strode to be an incredible wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother. She had many hobbies, and had many impressive skills. She was very talented in sewing, crocheting, knitting, quilting, cooking, canning, baking and many other things. Throughout her life she was always able to give great comfort to those she loved, and never failed to put a smile on your face with a witty and sometimes unexpected funny comment. She was peacefully delivered into the hands of God on October 29th, 2023 at the age of 93. She is survived by her Daughter, Gloria and her husband Doug, her Granddaughter, Aislinn, and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed, always loved and always remembered.
