Marguerite Fricks

Marguerite Fricks, age 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953 died Thursday, May 29, 2014 quietly in her sleep. She is survived by her sons, Thomas Fricks of Albuquerque, and Wayne Fricks and wife, Connie of Aurora, CO; grandchildren, Jon Fricks of Denver, CO, Leanne Laye of Phoenix, AZ, Christopher Fricks of Castle Rock, CO, and Cassandra Fricks of Aurora, CO; and many friends. Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Marguerite Parker of Tucumcari, NM; and husband, Paul Fricks, Jr. She was born in 1927 in Tucumcari, NM and graduated from Tucumcari High. She moved to Albuquerque when she married Paul and she worked for Mountain Bell as an operator. Marguerite retired as a Service Rep. Supervisor in 1990. She was a pilot with the "99's", a woman's pilot organization. Marguerite also enjoyed playing the saxophone and piano. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
