CARROLL, MARGUERITE MANLEYAge 100, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and resident of Sandia Park, passed away at her daughters home surrounded by family on January 22, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, George H. Carroll. Marguerite is survived by her children, Stephan R. Carroll and wife, Linda, Jan Walton and husband, Joel; grandchildren, Amy Budd, Allison Just, Marguerite Sorensen, and Dana Walton, and great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Sorensen. Maggie was born in Luthersville, GA and raised in Atlanta; you could say she was a true "Southern Belle". Maggie did a great deal of traveling with her husband throughout his military career. They lived in England, Japan, California, Virginia, and Texas before she came to live in New Mexico. She was an artist, specializing in oils and watercolors. Maggie painted until the age of 96. She lived a great life and will be dearly missed by her family and those who had the honor of knowing her. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Cedar Crest Ward 18, Country Rd 7, Edgewood, NM 87015 (505) 286-3197. Maggie will be laid to rest with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery.
