ROMERO, MARGARET
Age 88, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, peacefully passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012. She is survived by her daughter, Margie Romero Baca; and grandson, Patrick A Baca. Margaret was preceded in death by her father, Hermenes Baca; mother, Margarita Baca; husband, Abelicio B Romero; and grandson, Matthew D Baca. Margaret was very active at Los Volcanes Senior Center. As a participant there, she was able to attend the National Senior Olympics, placing in the top ten nationally in various track and field events. Margaret was a phenomenal endurance runner, running up to thirty-five miles in any given week. Life long education was very important to her, and she chose to receive her Bachelors degree even after becoming a grandmother. Margaret was very passionate about traveling. She loved listening, and dancing to all types of music. The family would like to thank the medical staff at UNMH, the entire staff at Ladera Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and the attentive staff from SolAmor Hospice for the care given to her. A rosary service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 7:00pm at French - University. Church Services will be held on October 6, 2012, 10:00am at Glorybound Ministries,11913 Menaul Blvd NE.
