Margaret (“Marge”) Ann Patterson transitioned to her next life on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at home, in the presence of her loved ones. She will be immeasurably missed by her husband, Harold (“Harry”) Patterson, of 56 years who always lovingly cared for her, meticulously comforted her during her last few years, and was thankful to be with her at her last breath. While Marge graduated with a BS in Chemistry from Duquesne University (where she met Harry) and worked in hospital laboratories, she was most proud of being Harry’s wife; mother to twin daughters, Anne Patterson (and fiancé, Darrell Ridge) and Margaret Caledon, and son, Harold (“Hal”) Patterson; and grandmother to Joseph (“J.J.”) Buck and his wife, Chantilly (“Tilly”). Marge created happy homes for her family as they moved from Pennsylvania to Maryland to New Mexico. She cared for her parents in the family home, too, until they passed on. Marge thoroughly enjoyed time with family, friends and pets; she was an avid Steelers fan; she enjoyed reading, arts, crafts, sewing and needlework and decorated their homes with all of her impeccable work. Marge’s loved ones are ever so grateful for the opportunity to walk with her during her earthly journey and look forward to passing on the lessons and love inherited from that journey.
