Margaret Jane Flowers Krahenbuhl of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019, following a lengthy illness. Retired as an analyst for the Department of Defense, Margaret very much enjoyed Albuquerque life, participating in the Oasis singing group, the League of Women Voters, exploring the many cultural offerings here, the Isotopes baseball games, the UNM women’s basketball games, and taking trips with friends to the many scenic and historic locations around New Mexico and even abroad. Margaret was born in Columbia City, IN, on Monday, July 26, 1943, to Margaret and Charles K. Flowers. She was 76 years old.
She graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s degree in government. She later earned a Master’s degree at UCLA in Political Science. While there, she met her former husband, Ronald Krahenbuhl.
She is survived by her siblings, Charles D. Flowers and his wife, Pamela, Jeffrey Flowers, Keith Flowers and his wife, Kitty, and Jennifer Flowers. Sister, Bonne Flowers Biemer, is deceased. She is also survived by nieces, Kimberly Evans and husband, Trent, and Ellen Biemer; nephews, Charles E. Flowers and wife, Leslie, and Daniel Biemer; along with great-nieces, Olivia Evans and Annie Flowers; great-nephew, David Flowers; and brother-in-law, Martin Biemer.
A Life Celebration will be held Thursday, August 22, 2019, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH – Wyoming, with a Reception to follow. Friends may visit beginning at 9:00 a.m.
