Margaret G. Juarez

Margaret Gonzales Juarez, age 86, beloved wife and mother, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, in Albuquerque, NM. She was born in Artesia, NM on October 11, 1932, to Margarito and Antonia Gonzales. Margaret, known to most as Margie, was a loving wife, mother and devoted grandmother who moved to Albuquerque in 1999 to help care for her grandchildren, but her heart was never far from her home in Artesia. It was there where she grew up, raised her family and was a devoted member of the Spanish Baptist Church. While raising her family, Margaret also worked as an administrative assistant and bookkeeper at the Artesia Medical Center. She later found her passion working with special needs children at Artesia Public Schools where she also served as a secretary at Central Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her son, Steven; sisters, Rebecca Fierro, Elmira Mendiola, and Amelia Juarez. She is survived by her husband, Andres (Buddy) of Albuquerque; son, Patrick of Albuquerque; daughters, Debra of Miami, FL, and Nancy Duran and husband, Gabriel of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Lauren Duran of Chicago and John Duran of Albuquerque; brothers, Louis O. Gonzales of Arlington, TX, and Isauro O. Gonzales of Las Cruces; sisters, Angelita G. Alvarado of Artesia, and Mary Madrid and husband Santiago of Espanola, NM. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caring and compassionate staffs of Beehive Homes, Taylor Ranch, and Presbyterian Hospice. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019, 5:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH-Westside. Interment will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, 12:30 p.m., at Twin Oaks Memorial Park in Artesia.
